Investing in our youth is an investment in the future of Minneapolis. The Minneapolis Rotary Youth Development Committee supports programs that provide opportunities to inner city youth such as the Model UN project, the Exchange City program, Junior Achievement, the Y's Start program, and the Learning Center for Economics. These are but some of the programs that are designed to build a drive to achieve by exposing the youth to the greater world beyond their neighborhoods and recognize and reward their successes. Individual committee members provide teaching or mentoring in the schools and at these activities. The Youth Development Committee also recognizes and honors the Minneapolis high school students in the top 1% of their class and those showing the greatest improvement their senior year.
